I was looking through the big (24MB) Testor's catalog I downloaded and it has a Camouflage Gray in the Model Master American FS Enamel Paint Section, FS 36622 (B-1733 for the bottle) and (S-1933 rattle can).

Well just a little bit Jason i got the shuttle just about ready for the base coat iam just trying to come up with what i think is the right color for the base coat. Later this week i hope to a least get started on spraying on the base. But i first want to check out the colors Mike had talked about using.
So i hope to have an update later this week if not by this week end to see what you guys think about the base color i come up with.

Hello gang,
Well it been awhile since I've done any work on this project I've been giving it a rest for awhile to work on my FM Y-Wing's project and to give Mike some time to get the decals for this kit.
Well this past week i've been getting a little tried of walking past the kit and just seeing it in just primer so i thought i could a least start on the base coat and maybe the red strips this weekend so i started to do some playing around by mixing some colors together for the base color, now i know the base color and red strip are not a 100% match to the studio model but i thought i would try to go for the look of how it was seen on TV and besides that's how i best remember it anyways .

Nothing wrong with going that route with the paint Mark.In fact thats what i tend to do with my builds also.It's what we all can relate to after all.That said,for this one i'll be going for the studio look instead when i get around to mine.Thats what i've been trying to achieve with my build from the start.
Anyway,it's good to see at least one of us finally get some colour on one of these at last.
Nearly another fine one ready for you to add to your finished collection.Good stuff dude!!

True Cris its a very nice clean build & Marks going to be the first one to have one completed I think! Thats great about the decals & parts. That guy is a magician with what he's been doing & to fit all the other stuff like the At At, OMG!!!!! Can't wait for that. Keep up the great work Mark. I'm just trying to get you to let me have this. This truly is a museum piece! Now take it back to the museum you took it from!
I can't wait to see this with the final details finished. This is one of the best, and most realistic models I've seen in a while as far as a Galactica related theme. I didn't think much of this as a kit until I saw this a few days ago. With all the greeblies, and paint on it - I've definately changed my mind. This is great to look at and you have something that very few will ever own. You sure can be proud of your hard work, and people like me will envy you! ~ Cobra Chris

Well Cobra i guess i better come clean , yes i found it at a museum in a box label BSG Shuttle 2 from Apogee 1978, so when no one was looking i picked the box up and kept on walking and never looked back and to this day they never knew it was me who took it ha ha ha.
So thanks again for the kind words and please don't turn me in.
Oyeah i forgot Jason i have been trying to post some pic's of my Y-Wing project but it keeps telling me my pic's are to larger.
Thanks Phil and yes iam going to do some kind of weathering but not sure how much weathering to do i don't think there was alot of weathering on the studio model but I'll worry about the when i get the decals.

This is an easy program to use. Just open the file. Go to the "Image" pull-down menu and select "Resize/Skew". At the popup window set both the horizontal and vertical percentage to less than 100% to shrink. Make sure you set both the same or the image gets messed up. Then save and check how much the file size decreased. I think you need to be below 500k to post here.

Well i did a little more work today on the shuttle i got the other side red strip done and some of the gray panels as well oyeah and the gray strips around the engines as well to so here's a couple of quick pic.'s sorry if there not to good.

Well i have'nt done much to the cockpit other than painting it a medium gray, seeing that i don't have lights in there i did'nt think there was much i could do.

Sorry there has'nt been any updates on this project it just seem i get side tracked on other projects in fact am sitting here right now looking at it . but i give you my word there will be a update real soon maybe this weekend if things go's as planned.
