Well heres another smallish update.
You ain't gonna believe it but i'm again waiting for just one kit part,oh and some paint as well.First things first though.I ended up getting the two small parts for that section on the back by sanding down the casting that came with the kit till i could remove those two greeblies.Wouldn't say i did a great job of it but it's betta than not having them on there at all.So that was done and i also made my butt plug work by gluing a piece of wood dowl to it and shoving it up the rear end of the armature.Doesn't look pretty but it does all that it needs to do and no lube required.
LOLWith all major constriction done it was time to primer this baby up and what a difference it is now being in two colours rather than the rainbow of colours it was beforehand.The white primer will be painted in the body colour and the stuff in grey primer will be,well grey,just not primer grey when done.
Now thanks to my partner in crime on this one (dbhs) i got one more thing i'm changing out on it.You'll notice the bells which came with the kit are gone and i've had to get the dremel out to remove some epoxy from around my light sockets.Yep,he had to show me something i hadn't seen and cause me more work. :hammer: Damn him!!
LOLAnyway,looking good for some paint pretty soon,bit of weathering and then it's finally off ta the pool room with it,so ta speak.
Just don't have a pool room but anyway.

Thanks bud,it's taken a while to get where it is as you know.collected a heap of dust just sitting but i'm happy to say there shouldn't be a lot more of that happening till it's finished now.
See what happens but it's hopefully just a few weeks off being done now.
Pain't,weathering,engine bell's,thats about it.Maybe the cockpit windows also but as i mentioned earlier i'm not sure how to glue em in without getting that fog effect from the CA.

Testors makes a clear glue just for that purpose. I have some but haven't used it much. Dries pretty slow and not as strong as ca or epoxy. I'm not going to do windows on mine. I can't see any sign of them prior to the BR mods.

I've got some of that glue,never used it before though so i don't know if it's adhere to the resin or paint more so or not?

Gee, it's been sometime since i've updated this thread and the shuttle over that time has mostly just been sitting under a cover waiting to be finished. It's not there yet but it's really close to being done. Just some more slight weathering to add here and there, for me it'll be good enough at that. I'll get some pictures up once it's done but heres a small taste of how it's looking right now.

Yes, they both have their charms but I think (um, no I'm sure) I'd trade my 100+ hours on the bench with the shuttle for the same on the 'bench' with Cindy.
