What is that large part to the right of the two trannie halves and where does that go on the 32in Falcon?

This part needs to be cut (only a very small portion if it is used) and it is part of a 3-parts assembly (you need 2 assemblies) and are glued at the very tip of the upper mandibles.

I'm in for a set if they are done before I try casting my own kit.
It would save me a lot of time and I have little experience with casting.
