Cricket Phaser - directorcass - 03-05-2011 Here is one of my latest props. It is a "hero" Cricket Phaser built using a stapleton resin kit and electronics from GMProps. The power meter is an 8 segment display. The left button increases and the right button decreases the display. The silver rectangle is the trigger. It also has several different firing sounds. It was painted with Duplicolor automotive lacquers for durability in handling. Unfortunately, I didn't take any "in progress" pics. I will when I do my next prop, a TNG Dustbuster Hero! Enjoy the the pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
RE: Cricket Phaser - dbhs - 03-05-2011 That's just an amazing piece. Totally realisitic and certainly better quality than what was used on the show. RE: Cricket Phaser - directorcass - 03-05-2011 Thanks! It turned out better than I thought. I hate masking. It was a pain in the arse to mask off the little spill port windows around the emitter and that band as well. But after finally buying some Tamiya tape it worked out vey well! |
