Hello , I am a transplant from the replica prop forum. I recently joined over there and after seeing all the great work related to this site I wanted to join here. I use to do modeling for many years , but then marriage, kids and everything else set me back. So i'm starting from " scratch" again..No pun intended.
I've recently started collecting kits for the SS Sandcrawler build if possible. I have always been a fan of the sandcrawler and want to start the process of building my own.
Right now I am just collecting reference images, advise, build notes and will start working on paper templates soon as I can. Finding a good idea of basic measurements is my problem now. Once I get everything going , I will start a build thread on both sites for input on my meager and dated skills.
I have been following ckwanwoo's build and have been left speechless. I know I will have to buy resin cast of the sealab and a few others ,so anyone know who casts them let me know.
I hope I can contribute, help others , and show my work.

Gday! Thanks for joining the site & am happy to have you aboard. The Sandcrawler is one of my favourites aswell & have also been following Erics build(aswell as his others). The site is still an infant & a work in progress. All input positive & constructive negative is apreciated.
I will be adding research topics for all scratch builds in a specific area within the Studio Scale area in time. I have started a couple for the Millennium Falcon's, Battlestar Galactica & Star Destroyers. These are working Forums for research of Kit Donor Parts, Kit Lists, Base Plans, Reference etc.

Thanks guys , I started a short list of kits I got from others. Still just collecting all the reference. I did get Alan's images along with a few others from the books as well. Just working out the size of the beast is really the main part.
I really enjoy the kit scans , Those are invaluable. I will surely try to add others as I can get more.
