Put me down for another of each kit thanks mate.
Viper to have landing gear perhaps. Will talk on that more but am curious how that all works.
Did Mike change his Viper Master to incorparte a landing gear version? If he didn't it would require a lil work to make openings in the fuselage i'd think. Another question is what is the landing gear actually made from? Would it support the build? It's a pretty heavy piece and i'm thinking brass tube would probably be needed for something the size and weight.
Anyway, great news on the master paterns being purchased, these are now yours and you should start calling them something new perhaps. Just mention they were acquired from Mike in your listings. News soon spread in the hobby but these are really these are really jase72 kit's now!

Phil your too kind mate.
Firstly the paterns were bought under the instruction that the kits remain called MSLZ22 SS Viper/Raider Kits.
Its the same reason the CC XWing remains to that name etc etc.
They will jsut be MSLZ22 SS Viper/Raider Kits produced by ...........(Yet to be decided company name)
Now the Viper kit has 2 fueselage configurations.
In Flight & Landing gear down.
The landing gear down fueselage has the landing gear compartments alread cut out.
I am awaiting delivery in the next couple of days of the Viper so will show you the differences when it arrives.
I am unsure about the actual landing gear construction right now so again will have to wait until the Masters arrive.
The Viper Kit will now also come with a new base stand not previously offered with this kit.

I am very pleased in my aquisition of these Masters & that I will be able to keep these kits in production.
Mr Salzo was fazing these kits out due to moving on to new business commitments.
I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time.
I also thank Mike for his belief I will be able to offer a respectable continuation of his patterns to the community.
I'll add you to the list buddy & update you on your queries when they arrive.

Yes it is apparently hollow on the bottom side.

The Raider also has a hexagon base.

Ok I spoke with Mike in regards to the Viper landing gear & he said it would not support the Viper & would still need an armeture for support.
Mike said just how the landing gear is constructed does not allow for any brass tube to be embedded in the resin for support.
They are aparently quite fine I took from that.

From your own ones i like the simple JW Productions. The SSMS seems a lil long?
Studio Scale Services would be simpler?
You should start a thread and see what get's thrown about.
Edit: double post again and i also forgot to comment on the landing gear for the Viper. Well thats a bummer really and if it can't support the model then i wouldn't go that way. I'm a bit lost on it all so it's best to wait until you have the patterns in hand. The viper i built has no armature but it sounds like Mike says the landing gear version needs one. Is it now hollow for the most part?

Just a fyi note regarding the naming of the kits.
Mr Salzo contacted me to let me know I had misunderstood his request regarding the title of the kits.
The kits will be named whatever company name I end up deciding on ie:JW Model Studios SS Battlestar Galactica Viper & Raider Kits.
The stipulation was that any queries in regards to the Mastering of the kit would be that it was mastered by MSLZ22models.

I think the Raider will be a bit later as some work has to be done on the Master before its shipped to me.
I then have to make the molds & be sure their producing a high standard product before I will release any kits.
All flash will be removed from parts also.
If any parts are found to be 'unaceptable' they will be immediately replaced, though with the check off list for parts checking this should never happen.
As stated in the first post 'no' sub standard kits will be sent so I am not going to rush the process of creating kits for financial gains.
The Viper is somewhere in between the States & Australia at present.
I hope to recieve it Wdnesday once postal deliveries resume after our loooong weekens.
I have big shoes to fill in producing these kits after MSLZ22 Models & will only put out an equal if not better(if thats even possible) product for my customers.

I've found Mikes kit's to be all excellent in quality that i've purchased and it's reassuring to hear you are going to be setting the bar no lower than the same level as they were previously made.
Thats great news for the builders as well as your own name. Quality talks a plenty and it seems the kit's are only getting better and better these days.

Jase, so glad the a Quality caster got these masters. So often these things go out of production forever. Or worse fall into the hands of a crappy caster. These are too good for that fate. I just thought i would chime in a say that i am really happy that Jase is taking these on, these were all headed into oblivion without him. I am sure that he will do a better job than I did with them, I think he really has a passion for the subjects.
