Another ESB SS Dispatch Pod 232 & 223 Build - JAWS - 12-19-2011
Hi everyone. Am starting on another couple of small builds to mix it up a little.
I really liked the work Ralphee & the crew at the RPF did on these two obscure miniatures that were used in ESB.
So as I have most of the parts thought I would give them a go.
Im starting with the 232 Pod as I still need a couple of 223 hulls.
Just started organising the parts today.
Im just unsure which wheels to use for the rocket?

1/12 Lotus Mk III parts, L6, L7, and L9.....by my notes. Please double check, though. By the way....I'll buy extras of these parts if someone wouldn't mind parting with a set.
Jase....I dig pics with all the parts ready to go...hehe! I think it's because that's where I'm at with most of my builds! I find myself spending hours organizing my plastic storage bins...re-labeling...so on and so on.
BTW, I've been meaning to get a laser cut armature going on for the pods......hmmm. Unfortunately, I'm on 12-hours shifts this week but if I can get something going, I wouldn't mind sending you a set. It'll basically be two or three inner support ribs with precise holes down the middle of each part for the rod to fit in.

I have that kit & was looking at the parts yesterday.
Know what you mean about sorting & collecting.
I have boxes with parts for so many builds Its getting rediculous.
Sounds good on the armeture.
I nearly worked on the Pod yesterday but only had enough time to sort parts for Dispatch Pods, start a Revell Viper with my son & get the gardenning done.....

I think noone of us used the same wheels... I didnt BTW, cant remember the ones I used though... I took the ones that looked better and more accurate to my eyes. But my eyes can be wrong from time to time.

Cool, Jase! BTW, the armature I was referring to is for the Dispatch Pods. However, I still have the E. Pod in queue. Once I finish my current master, I'll get tp pouring that foam. I'm off all next weekand I'm sure I'll be able to find time between studying and finishing the master.
Haha! Yeah, I raided the local craft store a while back....basically I got 15 storage boxes for $10 with coupons and discounts. It sounds dumb to be happy over it but with the lack of time I've had to build models, it was definitely forward progress just gathering and organizing all the parts.
Julien, that's good to know that you used what you thought was best. Maybe I can look into the 1/12 kits I do have for support.

Yeah I noticed nearly everyone used different rims for their rockets!
Joe, oh! Dispatch Pod armature, sounds interesting.
Nothing I build happens quickly so when ever your ready.
Hahahaha damn looking at my benches I need to slap myself.....
