Stuff I want :) - 777 - 11-19-2009
Greetings Chaps. I'm here to support Jase in his efforts, but don't know how often I can make it.
Any way. In the off chance anyone here might be interested.. I'm interested in a warp ring drive for my Hasbro Jedi starfighter (the one that about 15.5 inches long). If anyone is interested, then please drop me your thoughts. Cheers.

the ring itself can be seen at about the 1 hour 6 minute mark in EP 2 when OB1 is after Mr. Fett senior.
I'll try and post a screen grab, but they aren't the best. If you can make anything out, the first shot is it coming towards us, the second is away from us and the third big one is the fighter disconnected from the warp ring. The ring has some sort of middle platform which it connects to.

I believe that one is 1/24th scale.
Too small for 777's ship.

Hi, yes, bar is doing just the starfighter, which is smaller than this toy. Plus, he's going to wait and see if the people who buy his starfighter are also wanting the warp ring before doing it. So, even if it does happen, I have no idea when.
I'm not in any rush big Don. As much as I think this would be cool to have it doesn't look as though it is in very high demand
which means costs go up and I didn't want to go crazy with paying for it 
It would be pretty freaking big now that I think about it. The "wing span" of the toy is 8 inches. Actually. on closer looking at the movie, the starfighter actually connects to the ring in front of the droid... I'm guessing the ring for the toy would have to be around 16 inches diameter. Once again, I'm probably biting off more than I can chew!

And the biggest problem would be how would they connect? The toy is big, fairly heavy and "arse heavy". Or technically speaking, it has an aft C of G!

No, you may be right, but I've not seen it. It would have been huge! There is a Fine Molds version with the ring... I think?

No it was definately in a toy shop if I saw it. Hell might aswell check the Hasbro site...

Excellent point about the Hasbro site. I just checked it out and they do have smaller versions with ring as well as a transformers one (wtf??) but nothing for the bigger version.

On that WTF note I agree WTF is that anyway! Star Wars Transformers I hate em but unfortunately my son loves them so we have some of the stupid things...

I'll tell ya what I want....I want someone to master a new, very accurate KBop in a large scale ( like the Warp kit ) that I can add my landing gear master to and put out as a kit !
( Only, I wouldn't use crap resin ! ) ;-)

I don't mean here in particular, I just mean I think people like me sit back and wait for what the GKers are going to come up with next and don't seem to ask for the stuff they want. Through Ed here and posting this thread, I've got Bar to make me this cool thing and I never stopped to think to ask for waaay too long. I could have had this ages ago!

Ahhh I see where this is going. Well do we want a list Thread, oh hell well I think this has already started... I know I want a SS Blockade Runner & SS Star Destroyer. Lasse is building one, for himself. I saw him say at RI that it would probably cost around $5-6000 to be made into a kit so wouldn't do that & it was something just for himself & his family, which is fair enough. If there was a kit at SS scale. I would easilly pay that amount & some more for it. I think the GKers are going to have to move up the scale sooner or later as the other subjects get nailed. Im hopeing anyway.
