Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - Cylon-Knight - 02-26-2012 I got wind of this eBay listing on another forum... it looks like a SS Galactica? Are they 72"? Didn't know if it is anyone here selling their ship or not, and it is not me - I'm not lucky enough to have one to even sell! I thought it was cool and I'd share it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/72-BATTLESTAR-GALACTICA-/150766418981?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item231a60fc25 RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - dbhs - 02-26-2012 $3000 seems way too cheap for a completed Galactica (to me). I'm curious to hear others comment....especially those who are building them. RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - cosmic - 02-26-2012 This guy sells many other items really cheap RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - darkimmitator - 02-26-2012 My battlestar is not for sale ... but it is my fucking Pegasus that is being used as the main picture . I did not give the ok to use my build pic to aid in the sale of this battlestar either . And the other two pics look very familiar , maybe Custom Replicas or Jim C. ? Makes me wonder if it is a ligit sale ! No one in thier right mind would sell a studio scale completed battlestar for a buy it now of $ 3500.00 and complete with warranty !! RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - Mensaboy - 02-26-2012 i dont even understand what it is he is selling, some newspaper and primer? RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - Cylon-Knight - 02-26-2012 I saw that shipping amount too... shocked. The size of a couch and only $35? Wow. Maybe it is a 72" long cardboard stand up??? darkimmitator they took your pic!?? I think qcfoundry is right and the sale seems really fishy. OOPS - I just went back to look over the listing again - it's ended and a picture has been removed too. Looks like they couldn't take the SSM Pressure
RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - darkimmitator - 02-26-2012 huh looks like someone was feelin real guilty !!!! BUSTED !!!!! lol RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - dbhs - 02-26-2012 Wow - the typos in the Excelsior model description are hilarious. I'm sure it's all quality merchandise. RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - swhite228 - 02-27-2012 Most of his bigger ship auctions were pulled with the reason given as "Item no longer available" Looking at all his finished items I am seeing pictures I could swear I've seen here or on other sites. The Excelsior photo is I think a reference shot of the ship from Paramount, the D-7 looks to be one of a build of the Capt.Cardboard studio scale ships. Looking at his feedback was even more fun 18 total with 6 of them going off about him never paying for items he's won. RE: Any notice this Galactica on eBay? - darkimmitator - 02-27-2012 Sort of renews your faith in the policing abilities of ebay , doesn't it !!!! There was a guy here who had a bunch of ebay accounts who opened my eyes to how unconcerned Ebay was with the bottom dwellers. He bought storage lockers and sold what he didn't want. His system was simple: Big buck items he sold at his ongoing garage sale. Cheaper items he sold at a local auction houes. Crap and the stuff that was broken went to Ebay ..where it ws discribed as "lightly used" After the ebay sale when the folks complained he simply said the sale was "as-is" and refused to refund the money. He didn't take paypal and never left money in his ebay bank accounts. When the feedback got bad enough that he was banned he started up with another account, and regestered a new account to replace the old one. Last time I saw him he had been banned by Ebay 15 times.
