1/48 Scale Y-Wing - Red III - 09-14-2013

It's not studio scale, but it was a fun little build. The cockpit canopy in the kit didn't look quite right (Too Tall) so I scratch built a new canopy along with a new top turret. The base was made with 3 inch Death Star tiles I purchased from Starship Modeler. All the piping is brass wire. If anybody out there knows how to release cured CA from resin without too much damage to the model please let me know. The neck drooped and it cured before i noticed it. now that's all I look at when viewing model. I may just crack it off and hope for the best. Also, I heard that the same producer of this kit will be releasing a 1/32 scale version soon.[attachment=14481][attachment=14482][attachment=14483][attachment=14484][attachment=14485][attachment=14486]

Well it's half studio scale and still looks good to me. This design has really grown on me of late and i like what you've done with it.
Your own scratched pieces look great as does the tile base. Nice work!

I saw the built up 1/32 version at Jerseyfest in the vendor area. It looked pretty good. Alfred Wong is the maker.
