Imperial Star Destroyer 2 meters of lenght (78.74 inches) - tk9999 - 12-03-2013 Hello everybody, As promise in my presention, here the first episode of my "interpretation" of an Imperial Star Destroyer, unfortunately, not a studio scale however for me an important model. the building was begun in 2004, at this time, I had not an important documentation as today, and not a great knowledge about soft as autocad/sketchup and another softs we need to help in our passion. In this past time I have begun with a little team of my club, our first step is to found the good "plan", we have found an ISD plan to built it in paper and we had worked with the model kit from AMT/MPC/ERTL, today that's a big mistake, but in 2006 for me that's it good idea... If 1 day in a future I decide to build another Imperial Star Destroyer, I will not make the same error... for my first post here today, the little presentation and the actual picture of my star destroyer, actually in a little exposition in a mall for a litlle event (Saint-Nicolas) for until this friday... Here the pictures of it, and tomorrow, I will start to talk of the building and the refit actually in 2013. RE: Imperial Star Destroyer 2 meters of lenght (78.74 inches) - tk9999 - 12-05-2013 yes that's big, this star destroyer take the place of my car inside my home's garage... not a problem I prefer to see my car outside loll. Just a little mistake from me, the construction of this model was begun in 2004 not in 2006 as mentionned when I have wrote last time. In 2004 we have reflected to build the destroyer, the objectif ti to have always the posisbility to open it, to re-build any part broken or to add the light inside the hull and reactors... We have build in 2 separate hull (up and down) the reactors is another part and ofcourse the different bridges. first hull cut and assembled, camparaison with the ISD of AMT wooden structure to assembly the different hull And the 2 hulls assembled Ok, tomorow the rest of the construction ;o) Here some pictures during the construction : RE: Imperial Star Destroyer 2 meters of lenght (78.74 inches) - Red III - 12-05-2013 Cool!
