VELOCIRAPTOR - Red III - 01-07-2014

I just completed this raptor from an old Horizon kit. I thought there has to be some Jurassic Park fans out there that would appreciate this. Not exactly studio scale or maybe it is, I don't know. I understand that the Stan Winston Studios maquettes were used as guides for these so it has a pretty interesting lineage. I painted this one with acrylic paint and used taxidermy eyes to give it some life. it's about 30 inches long and made of soft vinyl. I had to fill its leg with plaster in order to mount it on it's base.

Great work. Are you going to add a JP logo to the stand maybe?

Hey Cylon-Night, Thanks. I' am working on a logo for the base, as soon as I get it to look halfway decent I'll get it on there.

SPECTACULAR!!!

WOW, that looks bloody incredible, you did a bloody great job with it. That really is something totally different to what we normally see here but it's as good as anything else thats ever been completed and posted. It really does life like.

Thanks Wombat. It was fun to see it come to "life" as it neared completion.
