mpc snowspeeder dio - peza - 01-19-2014

[attachment=15495][attachment=15493]eh up all.
i`ve been buildin this snowspeeder for 3 or 4 months now and it`s near the end of the build,stupidly i`ve not put it on earlier...
first off i added alot of detail to the cockpit with more fllight control panels and fibre optics in each one,there was be over 80 cables in it,
[attachment=15482][attachment=15483][attachment=15485]
next i made some inner details for the maintenance areas and some of the grilled areas,
[attachment=15486][attachment=15487][attachment=15488]
and i wanted it to appear that it`s floatin whilest it`s bein refuelled,
[attachment=15489][attachment=15490]
and finally i scratched up a flat loader and some cargo boxes and made a harpoon cable holder and a few crewmen,one of the crewmen has a torch in his hand which is some 2mm fibre optic cable which is threaded through his arm and through his torso and leg.
[attachment=15491] [attachment=15492] [attachment=15494]
[attachment=15495] [attachment=15496] [attachment=15497] i`ve taken alot of images see ya can see how far it`s come and how far it is off from finishin...cheers peza

Theres so much to like about this peza. Thats some really great ideas you've thrown at it and i guess more importantly they look really cool. Thats a lot of eye candy going on there which makes things very interesting to look at. A couple of those things in particular are the cockpit lighting for one. A lot of fibres crammed in there but worth it with a spectacular result like that. The other is the mount for the speeder itself. That does look impressive having the fuel pipe suspend it of the deck like that. Thats just a couple but the whole thing is looking amazing.

Fantastic work mate!!

Great dio Peza and some really cool ideas in there! I too like the speeder floating on that fuel line. Now why can't I think of cool stuff like that?Smile

RE: mpc snowspeeder dio - peza - 01-25-2014

eh up all,
so this is the final post for this build,
first off a couple of people asked and requested that i dirty up the floor and add some oily stains and patchs,
[attachment=15507]
[attachment=15508]
i made these stains with tamiya oil stain but thet came out really flat so i let them dry for a day or so then put a thin layer of PVA glue on top just to give it a wet finish.
[attachment=15509]
next i tackled the new power supply,all the way through the build i`ve been testin with the big 6 volt square battery,but i went to a local R.C shop and bought a small battery pack(4xAA),which can be concealed in the base with a little velcro to secure it in place.

so here are the finished images of my dio thanks to everyone cheers peza
