Rogue Leader - Guy Cowen - 04-08-2014 Its been an age since I posted hear so, a quick update with my Rogue Leader before I move onto the scratch B-wing. I've loved painting this ship and am very proud of it so far. Once its a wrap I can move on to a full scratch which I've not done for a while Its the Nick/Salzo Kit and was a dream to build aside from the lower hull that had warped to hell ....that was a killer to get on and took me longer than the build and paint up so far to get close to usable...not a casting problem but more of a storing badly by me problem I think!!! This is all just airbrush with some whits paint thats brushed on and artist acrylic (burnt Umber) as a very thin wash in places. RE: Rogue Leader - shadowknight - 04-08-2014 Great job there Guy. RE: Rogue Leader - Guy Cowen - 04-16-2014 Thanks all, really appreciate it, sorry its taken a while to reply I got burgled last week and laptop with all my studio scale work and reference has gone....gutted...years of photos and measurements and kit ref and my finds all gone !!!! On a good note my new macbook arrived today so I can start building my ref history again!!! On another sad note, times are hard and I'm going to be selling a few of my builds soon, Stop Motion Probe Droid, B-wing will be going first and then but hopefully not this speeder may have to go to....I've a tax bill from hell and not worked for months :-( RE: Rogue Leader - Stefan Hacker - 04-16-2014 Wow Guy you´re such a great painter! My regular work has all but gone for 12 months, theres nothing going and the Tax man is on me like a loving puppy with T-rex Teeth. I'm selling ones that I want to scratch myself and have nearly all the parts ready to go so its not a great loss unless I hash em or never get round to it. The B-wing is being wrapped up today and getting ready to be sold, then the PD, I kinda do want to sell this speeder as I think aside from the Red 3 its my best paint work..... I wish you could see it in the flesh, its pretty nice if I do say so myself...I just can't paint pilots well LOL As for the burglary, gutted but thankful it wasn't anything more than my Laptop and camera, very thankful as the room they came in has about 8 studio scale models in it...... can you imagine if they had gone or been trashed !!!!!! shudder RE: Rogue Leader - JAWS - 04-18-2014 Guy this is totally screwed man! I got robbed a couple of years back now & know exactly where your coming from. To lose all your ref is just f*%#@d.... Happy to share anything you need & maybe look into using skydrive/onedrive or something similar from now on. I have & its really good to have everything safe.
