Sand Trooper Armor - Red III - 02-17-2015
Hey Guys, It's been a while since I've posted anything. But I'm still busy building armor. Here is the helmet of my Sand Trooper. I just finished weathering it and installing the lining and padding. Next will be the cooling fans and headset. As I finish the rest of the armor I'll post it here. This is very much like my Nova but this one will be screen accurate.

The armor is coming right along. Still working on the back pack but the rest is done. It will then be weathered to be more screen accurate.

The back pack is complete except for the weathering. This is pretty close to screen accurate.

Almost completed except for the weathering. The helmet has been done already, that's why is a different color. I'll be using Fullers earth to dirty the armor up and then seal it with a flat spray lacquer.

Looking good, at least you won’t have the problem I have at the moment as my helmet has yellowed badly. I have retired the suit to a manikin in my movie room so no more troops for me.

Bummer about the yellowing. There are a number of guys in my squad who's armor went yellow. A lot of them are ordering new sets from Anavos. Check out the website I would say the prices are mid-range. If your in the market I''ll give you my contact. I think it's really quality stuff and the price is right.

Is the padding in the helmet hand made for TK's by TK's... or is it a found object from another helmet, etc.?

Hey Cylon-Knight! It's been a while... The helmet padding is military helmet linings found on Amazon, it's held in with velcro. which makes it adjustable.
