Recast alert!! - Voodoocaster - 04-04-2016
Resinplanet aka Mike Tait is selling a recast Tie-fighter on ebay right know.
I messaged Steve Niesen about this offered tie-fighter and Steve confirms this is indeed a recast.
So be aware!!

Is that the resinplanet one as it says item located in the US with free postage to the US and I thought Tait was down here in Australia.

Tait has always been in Texas as far as I can recall.
At least he seems to have stopped creating/ copying forums to hawk his crap.

I don't know him, but I am aware of his "work" if you want to call it that. He sells horrible copies of things with all sorts of mistakes, and warpage with broken parts, or pieces mis-molded. There have been all sorts of posts, and threads about this including one here on studioscalemodelers.

Mike has been a poster child for all that is bad in this hobby, and a very busy one at that.
His bad castings are just a small part of the Tait legacy, there are the forums he has started to purchase the stuff he has recast only to shut them down when it's discovered he's running them. Oh,and then there are the forums he just copied Like the RPF, and Starship Builder. He's been sick/dyeing a couple of times which is "why he's leaving the hobby".
Lets not forget the sever post on different forums banning the use of his name after he has threatened to sue the owners for letting people post about him. He rode the 2nd chance the owners of Starship Modeler into the ground by recasting items and ripping off the folks who were ordering items from him.
Yep Mike has done it all.....except try to play nice with other folks.
