BBTS St. Exmin Valkyrie - Joseph C. Brown - 05-31-2016

And, the insanity continues! Wink

Yes, Battle Beyond The Stars, 1980, Sybil Danning playing  St. Exmin the Valkyrie - her sleek, pointy... spaceship, right, spaceship (staying focused here)

This is one of those spaceships that I wanted to have my own model of ever since the very first moment that I glimpsed it.  On the Shout! Factory 2011 DVD/Blu-ray release, there is a glimpse of what was planned for this ship vs what was actually used:

You're going to force me to make one of these Big Grin
What's the canopy made from?

The canopy and the corresponding ventral 'bulge' came from the 1/48 Monogram F-15; the kit came out in 1979, so is quite eligible for this build.

Use the aft portion of the canopy for the top, and a second full canopy on the ventral side:

Followed by - (gasp!) preliminary completed pictures!

The reflective tape in the engine compartment effect worked nicely - far, far faster and easier than trying to cram a light and a battery in there!

I will endeavor to take some nice 'finished!' pics and post them in the appropriate area very soon!
