SS Tie Turbo / X1 Advanced - Turrican - 10-30-2016 Hi there, thought i'd share some progress of the Tie Turbo which is currently on my workbench. The kit is from Imperial Replicas which is now called Dockingbay studios. The kit itself has a lot of parts and is very detailed. As i bought the kit, their customer service was great, since they renamed there shop it's horrible. But that's another story. Here are some pic's. Hope you enjoy: Early progress: Some primer added and fitting the cockpit inside the hull RE: SS Tie Turbo / X1 Advanced - Turrican - 10-30-2016 Filling seams with milliput and adding more details. Armature get's on it's place before the hullparts were glued together. RE: SS Tie Turbo / X1 Advanced - Turrican - 10-30-2016 Model on it's current stage. L RE: SS Tie Turbo / X1 Advanced - Turrican - 11-02-2016 Yep absolutly. I would not recommend them anymore. There were some missing parts in my kit. I asked serveral times for replacements. At the beginning (befor they changed their name) i got fast replys to my mails. Now nothingmore. Not even one reaction. I have read anywhere, that the "head" of the group which were imperials models has left the group and since than they are just,f***k it up. So in short, yes stay away from this guys. RE: SS Tie Turbo / X1 Advanced - Turrican - 11-14-2016 As the edges of the wings were bad casted, i removed them today completly. Used the accurate T and U profiles to rebuild them. Found the parts which were missing. Just have to clean up some areas and add a those parts. After that it's ready for painting. Will post pic's of it soon. Beside the wing covers and some acrylic parts for the base, it's close to finish now. I have to mend a few areas here and there, but overall i'm happy with the result. If you happen to have mixed it yourself could you be so kind to give the ratios because it really looks the part. But it got's painted with the airbrush not with the can, which gives the paint a more rough and dull surface.
