Coming Soon from JAWSMODELS ANH ESCAPE POD - JAWS - 02-08-2017
Ok. So this is the final product of years of R&D by many peole. Models like these only get made through team work & collaboration.
I can honestly say this is a very accurate replica of the ANH ESCAPE POD. I thank everyone who helped on this project over the years.
Special thanks to:
Quincy Cutshaw who worked with me on finalising accurate Hull dimensions.
Robert Bosnjak for the extremely accurate Plate design & initial 3D modelling.
Goncalo Innocentes & his company LASERDYNAMICS for the massive job of 3D printing of the patterns & assosciated design work.
All parts are being molded off the Hull & are 100% studio accurate kut bashed donors.
Also special thanks to Dan Loes, John Currilla, Craig Underwood, Dave G, Jason Eaton, Phil Curl & all the other people that helped with parts identification.
Without your assistance these projects don't happen.

Just a 'friendly' reminder.
Whilst I appreciate positive feedback on our project I don't want it at the expense of negativity towards others.
There are only but a few rules on the site & derogatory remarks concerning members & their builds or products is not acceptable. Unless it is harmful to the communities interests & then must always be done in a realistic manner.
The original kit was mastered by a friend of mine along time ago when there was little to no reference. At the time it was a remarkable kit. Now that new reference & technology has become available we have been able to correct some of the inaccuracies & bring to the bench as close an accurate model as possible. This is what we do.
Please keep it strictly modelling.

Joe, in short - YES. This design and mine share about 95% of the same DNA when it comes to overall proportions/armature.

With the all the great shots in the new Chronicles and all of the vintage Floquil Railroad Colors I've collected, I would love to build one of these and have some fresh ideas on the colors used for the original miniature's finish.

I noticed some things I wasnt satisfied with resin hides no imperfection. So am fixing & remolding.

Know how much work it is to to this point, and how expensive it can be to have to retool late in the game, even a little bit.
Have to admire the guy who says "let's make it better" instead of "they'll never notice."

Yeah well it got reprinted twice. Now its a matter of ensuring the prints are cleaned up appropriately.
As this is my first personal pattern Id like to minimalise any criticism that will come. Theres always something & someone.

Rescribing the panel scribes deeper. Also the disca have been removed & will mold off tge hull for a nicer undercut. Cleaning up the print in the tight corners as much as possible.

Gettinf there. Challenging molds tokeep the pattern as it was designed. My assosciate Goncalo did a great job on the kit layout.
Ill be casting the first Hull casts when I get home from work. Hopefully all is well & can finally concentrate on the detail set.

This is the main reason I don't participate in the conversations on most of these forums. I try to stay away from the negativity and drama. It seems that there's always someone who has to say something.......
Any way, I like that someone is molding, and casting, and sharing it with the rest of the community for those who don't do this type of thing. I usually only build models from a box - it's easier!! Thank you for showing us the way, JAWS.
