Rebel U-wing - Apophis - 03-20-2017
This is a toy mod of the u-wing seen in Rogue One movie, but i made some changes to it, and added some stuff that wasnt on the ship and in my opinion shouldve been. here are some pics of the finished toy.

This toy works out to be about 1/72 scale, its pretty close to the amt x-wing.
If you notice on the rear i added the harrow boiler door and the bottom half of the sherman tank turret, those are the same as used on the SS x-wing, i included them because both ships were made by Incom and have similar engines, so i figured it would fit nicely.

It was marketed as a fighter with one pilot, which isnt true, its a troop transport, which lands troops onto the battlefield, so i blended in the cockpit, removed the hinge and filled in the screw holes and on the bottom the toy came with a big honking nerf dart gun, and of course i removed it filled it in with apoxie sculpt and glued styrene in place and scribed new panel lines.
The wings were of a soft rubbery plastic so kids wouldnt get too hurt if poked, the wings were hollow, so i filled those with apoxie sculpt too and scribed new lines on them.
The forward guns were of the same soft plastic and the detail was soft so i cut them off and added new ones from aluminum and brass tubing.

i applied washees and spatters and used weathering powders, and used floquil and tamiya paints, i used insignia whate, dark blue, up armor, sp lettering gray, grimy black, and ul daylight orange.

Thanks Julien, this a real nice toy, lots of detail, it wasn’t all clunky and didn’t take a lot of modifying to get it to look good.
