Studio Scale Twin Pod Cloud Car - Ralphee - 12-03-2017 Finally got around to taking a few snaps. My Timeslip/Archive-X Twin pod, love this thing, taken in various exposures some dark and moody, still much to learn with a camera. Best Regards.....Lee RE: Studio Scale Twin Pod Cloud Car - Turrican - 12-09-2017 Looks like directly from the set. Well done ! Again, that colours really looking awesome. RE: Studio Scale Twin Pod Cloud Car - Ralphee - 12-09-2017 Thanks Stefan. Took a while to figure something out that would work TBH. The many shots in publications, seem to real over saturate the model, hiding much of the tonal changes, so it was a case of sifting through a few books, and images shared online to make it work. The hues used were. Reefer Orange (over light grey surface primer) Boxcar Red (canopy flank area and engine piping) Rust (nose and some side panels, this is quite a good coat to cover well) SP Light Lark Grey (panel toning, used very thin and misted over, not a heavy coat) SP Dark Lark grey ( engine intake and cockpit tubs, also pilots) Reefer White (pilots) DH Caboose Red (pilots) Flesh (pilots) Engine Black (guns) Grime (overall misting, very thinned, dusted on) Turned out a lot of fun, and quite a challenge. Best regards.....Lee RE: Studio Scale Twin Pod Cloud Car - JAWS - 12-10-2017 Very nice. RE: Studio Scale Twin Pod Cloud Car - marvin - 12-11-2017 Can’t get enough of this one Lee. Will be saving those pics and the paint recipe. ? RE: Studio Scale Twin Pod Cloud Car - Ralphee - 12-11-2017 Thanks chaps. Marvin you may disagree when you come to use what you think is correct , there in lies the joy and fun of painting, and its all moot talking till one uses paint as intended, that said, i feel I'm close, unless somebody out there knows a lot more that is haha, and there are a few that claim it lol.In all it was very different to paint, using such odd bright tones was just very refreshing.
