Peeking thru the hole in the fence - dreadpyrat - 03-26-2018

Hi all! I'd long known of this forum from occasionally seeing work pinned on Pinterest, but could never figure out how to "get in", so to speak. Felt like I was always peeking thru the proverbial hole in the fence, trying to see what was going on inside. ;Wink  Finally I jsut emailed the site Admin and Jase was kind enough admit me. And here I am! I'm 43, live in Northern Cali, work in Video Game Art (worked for 8 years at Lucasfilm as an Art Director) and a huge Aliens, SW, Rocketeer, BSG, and Mad Max fan.    I haven't built any studio-scale models but I am building my own design freom scratch. Years in the making. Check out the entire build on my Instagram if you are interested. Looking forward to learning a lot from everyone here!

Welcome !

Your project looks great - the idea of not being a slave to duplicating someone else's work is a breath of fresh air for most studio modelers.
Trying to match part-for-part has it's own rewards, but I think at some point we all would rather just freehand it.
