Aurora Sea lab parts Files - swhite228 - 11-13-2018
This is one of the grail kits for studio scale builders having been used in Star Wars, Galactica, and a few other productions.
Modeled by Joshua Maruska, these step files cover almost all the parts used for builds both Galactica, and Star Wars. The only missing part according to Joshua is part 39

Apparently Doll and Hobby GA has a copy of the SeaLab III box on display with a "Coming in 2023" sign next to it.
Looks like this kit has finally been repopped - I just hope that they followed the original parts exactly as even the pin ejectors marks are visible on some of the Studio Scale miniatures.
Can't read the price too clearly, but it looks like the MSRP will be $ 99.99 USD - slightly more than the $ 79.99 Atlantis was suggesting back in 2015 when they proposed this project.
Of course, it is still cheaper than buying a vintage kit from eBay.
Wait and see how this comes about - hope there is more concrete information soon.

Fingers crossed it's not "improved". But the other side effect is it will hopefully lower the price of vintage kits. The recently re-engineered CO-4070A made it much easier to snag a vintage one. The Sealab is more rare, but still might have a similar effect to some degree.

Even ordering on-line gives no assurance you'll actually get something these days.
The Dragon 1/72 Saturn 1B is a great example - more a vapourware product than kit !

Doll and Hobby has confirmed price of $ 79.99 USD - pre-order at $ 74.99 USD.
No other details and subject to change - availability listed as late 2023.
