Ok here's another SS TOS BSG Shuttle - 79 Daytona - 01-04-2010
Hello gang,
Well like the title says here's another SS TOS BSG Shuttle. After see the other guys start on there's it really got me in the mood to start on my but i chose not to light it i am going for more or less a OOB build as you can see in the pic's i when with a simple type of armature. Lookin good mate. Can't get enough of these & am looking forward to your build progressing. Great start. Im still patiently awaiting an armiture that was very generously sent from afar. i think customs are holding out. Good stuff mate.

Hello gang,
Well here's a small update, I had to work this weekend so did'nt get much done . I got the four disc glued on and start to do some clean up work on the canopy and got the two engines glue on as well. Next i have to do a little gap filling on the engines.

It don't take a lot to get these thing's looking the part.Great job so far Mark!!
Like you said,now the fun begin's but honestly,i think it'll layer on pretty good and soon you'll have it in the paint booth there mate.
Now,i know ya have slowed down a bit to let the rest of the gang catch up a lil,but mate,you still need to crank it down another couple of cog's,thanks.

At least he can post photos of his work! I just wonder where all these shuttles are coming from,and why everyone's doing them at the same time? Not that I'm complaining,but the last time I heard of these Mike Salzo was going to release them,and never anything more! This is looking good. I hope to see more. Is there a lighting kit for these,or do you have to make it yourself?

I believe Mike has put these on hold for the winter and will be casting again in the spring. He was taking orders for a few months last year up through November. You should PM him at RI and let him know you're interested. There's no lighting kit with this one.

Hello gang ,
Well here's another update and sorry i think i broke the speed limit again LOL.
Well the weather here has be bad nothing but rain all day so i got to spend most of the day working on the shuttle. Now i don't know if its a good idea but i like to spray some primer on a section after gluing down some parts even throw i have more parts to go in that section the primer helps me find area's that need cleaning up or smoothing out.As always thanks for the kind words and for looking.

This part looks like the fun part that you are doing now.
How are you finding the part's laying out on the build,do you see part's needing trimming to get a fit with any of it yet?

Thanks Phil and your right once you get the major parts together it really start to get fun. For the most part so far all the small part go down easy with just a little sanding , now so far the only parts i had to trim down was the ones that go under the rear of the engines but Mike said you would have to trim them down to get them to fit right.

Yeah,those one's under the engine's i've looked at as well,it's the only way i can see that you can get it all to work right.
Haven't done it yet but it shouldn't be too hard hopefully.I did remove my domes and reposition them as i couldn't fit the twin pipe Morser part on the deck there the way i had it,the trade off is you loose some of the border on the sides there.
Have you test fitted that part between your domes there?

Well thats the problem i had also so i cracked em off and luckily they came through unscathed.
I'm know how i had mine i wasn't happy with how it looked.I think the part may just sit a bee's dick off the deck if going on where it is positioned on the Marder part at the front.This has to lift it a little,but it wasn't enough for how much i woulda needed to lift mine with my original dome placement.The part in our kit is more of the Pegasus refit stuff,i've gone back to how it is in the b&w picture.One thing ya gonna find is placement will look a little different to that b&w picture as the kit was made symmetrical by Sean so things are now a little different.It's no biggie,and it's betta to have a symmetric kit to the alternative.It'd be like living in those dark ages with the quality of kit's we use ta get not that long ago.
Anyway,because there will be things that won't quite line up how they should i think you just settle on what you like most and go for that!

I think you just do whatever your happy with yourself!I don't think it's possible to have things exactley like in the b&w picture,it's just not possible but again,i prefer this than the alternative that would have been to get things exactly the same as that picture.

Hello gang.
I started work a few days ago on the rear under side as well a little more work on the top side i still have to go back and do a little clean up work in some area . As i looked at the ref. pic's when i was working on the rear under side i found out that iam missing a few small parts which i may have lost iam not sure so it looks like iam going to have to try and make them.
