Tie Bomber - eagle1 - 01-30-2010 Hi guys, here's a Tie Bomber I built a while back now, learnt a lot from this build, it's relatively small size is the perfect ship for a new comer to SS. Stu RE: Tie Bomber - JAWS - 01-30-2010 Awsome. That is one very nice Bomber Stu. Thanks for posting that for the 3rd time now... RE: Tie Bomber - DarthDuck - 01-31-2010 Nice clean build Stu. RE: Tie Bomber - 427 Cobra - 01-31-2010 This is beautiful - even in this colour! This is the most detailed one I've seen so far. How did you make those small marks all over? Are those little gray spots, and slits painted on,decals,or are they actually cut through the plastic for a more realistic effect? RE: Tie Bomber - eagle1 - 01-31-2010 Thanks guys. Ha, yeah, the color is a funny hue as it changes from dark looking to light depending on lighting and camera setup conditions!. The small black marks all over the ship are hand drawn with a very fine draftsman's black pen. Still have to make a stand for her and possibly put in a case but at the mo she's sitting above my workbench. Stu RE: Tie Bomber - frossmelic - 04-10-2010 The TIE/sa bomber, simply known as the TIE bomber, was a larger, less maneuverable TIE star-fighter used for destroying large star-ships and pinpoint-precision bombing. The "sa" in the TIE bomber's designation stood for "surface assault."Due to their distinctive dual-hull shape, TIE bombers came to be referred to occasionally as "dupes" by enemy pilots. |
