Moebius Space Pod - Damien9479 - 11-14-2009

This was built as a commission for a guy I met in my local hobby shop
Fun little kit to do (even though it did present some problems)
In all I was not happy with it Rolleyes but my client was and that's all that matters Big Grin

That is sick dude. I gotta get one. I saw one of these with a lightig system that was just rediculosly complicated & looked fantastic.

RE: Moebius Space Pod - Damien9479 - 11-14-2009

Thanks man!
Like I said I wasn't too thrilled with the final piece (but that's just the way I am...I tend to push and criticize myself a little too hard!!)
I couldn't imagine lighting one of these little SOB's
The space for the lighting and the boards is VERY limited Big Grin

RE: Moebius Space Pod - 427 Cobra - 11-22-2009

That's a tiny thing - isn't it? This looks just like professional photos on the boxes usually do. That's the sign of true modeling skills! I love both big,and small models. The smaller ones are harder to build, but they look more amazing than larger models which are easy to build.

3-D Builder and 427 Cobra thanks for the words guys!!
Yeah it is a small-ish model 1/24 I do believe
It wasn't a very difficult model to build but it had some seams to deal with Confused
As far as the photos go I use a Fuji Finepix A345 nothing special Tongue
But it does have a good macro setting on it and I cobbled together a little photo booth out of white foam board and a couple small fluorescent lights I had laying around Big Grin
Believe me if you saw it in person you wouldn't be impressed!! LOL! TongueBig Grin

Very nice job. It looks like real metal and the finish is very smooth.
