Despatch pod 223 - MonsieurTox - 04-06-2010

Hey guys here's my version of the 223 despatch pod from TESB.

I used the rotocast hull from REL which asked a lot of work, and I used original kitparts to detail it (except the 312B plates, I did castings.)

I forget to order the little parts which goes on the flak38 parts in my last plastruct order, so Ill add them at later date, when I'll order some stuff from plastruct.

I didnt have the pics with me so I did the color and weathering from memories, not very accurate now I look at the pics of the original lol But it's OK, I think I gonna add a bit more weathering even if it's not accurate !

RE: Despatch pod 223 - 427 Cobra - 04-06-2010

No - this is nowhere near done, Julien! You need to add some racing stripes, and oh - Polka dots all over it! Then it'll be studio accurate. Tongue

Sorry, but I didn't get a chance to pull a stupid April fools joke on you. This is my lame attempt. This looks really cool. Send it to me, and I'll put a 427 blown hemi in it! TongueTongueTongue I actually want to see what this looks like in hot pink. Tongue More silliness!

Seriously, this looks good for no more than what it's finished up to this point. Don't worry about weathering. This will be good even if you just use your imagination.

Hehe thanks Chris, yeah that's true that was not a very good joke ! Big Grin
But but... you're close to the truth with the polka dots ! The original is now in poor shape and big chips of paint came off, showing now the sand color of the styrene parts !

223 done, it's probably not screen accurate with the extra weathering (it looks a bit more like it is now), but I like the look better !

Probably the quicker paintjob Ive ever done but it's cool and I like this little model ! Big Grin
