Hey Hammer it looks pretty good to me too. Ive got 99% of this ready to go. Bought mine as a to be Kit Master from unfortunately a not so reputable builder. If you need anything let me know. Keep at it.

Thanks guys, my screw ups are inside the panel area so its not too noticable. I am looking for some of the 1/700 ship parts if anyone has some extras or casts I would love to take/pay/beg Smile

It looks great. I hope to get going on mine soon ... The circumventing scribings on the chilidogs has caused me serious troubles and delays (been on the backburner for a year now), but I should have a small lathe up in a couple of weeks, and this should push the project somewhat foreward.

I'd just use PVC pipe. Unless this would make it harder for you. This looks good so far, what do you need to make this look more realistic, or correct?

To make it right I would need to redo the wing extensions, I put them in backwards and cut the notches too long and wide. I filled the notches with a different part from the Leo than the norm. I think I have it pretty close, other than that I'm waiting on some more models and hoping someone can come through for most of 1/700 ship parts.

I had the same problem. Very hard without a lathe... The scribings are about 1 mm wide and 0.3mm - 0.5mm in depth. I made a tube from sheet paper which was able to slide around the acrylic pipes, this way I was able to draw the lines perfectly parallel. Then I used dymo tape as a guide to my home made scribing tool (I made it only for the Bomber), using the lines. I should have used PVC pipes (as ILM used) because it's softer and easier to scribe than acrylic... Took me a whole night to get all the lines done. Sad

Hammer, your bomber looks great. I cant see any problem with the wing extensions...

This is pretty much it for pics right now. I may have had a break through on the lines around the tubes, I'll post some pics of that if it works out.

I drew out a template, did a rough cut and filed until it looked close...filled in where I was too greedy. It's not 100% even, I scratched the "tongs" just to see how it looks. The actual parts should be here soon.

Thanks. Yeah I did do some casting they're passable from a distance. I can't seem to get rid of the air bubbles, I might make 3 casts and have only one that's well enough to use, but i'm learning and thats the main thing Big Grin

I made it with parts from a Trumpeter Flak 38 and the Tamiya Hanomag, the inspiration was from eagle1's pit.

Very cool! I love the seat where the headrest is. This is very original in its' appearance. I can't stop looking at stuff like this, especially when it's in unpainted form.

Well that's it. I have the Shinano coming, missing Scharnhorst, Junyo POW and Stuka. They're not that visible so I can wait to find them, other than that i'd say it's finished.
