Cheers from the Nydenion Movie - Jacklionheart - 07-11-2010

Hello,

I'm overwhelmed the the great work of your guys here and it's good to see that traditional modelbuilding is still out there.

We are currently finishing our Sci-Fi feature film Nydenion which will have tons of model work, matte painting and CGI. I would love to post some photos of our studio models on the modelermagic.com gallery.

Best wishes,
Jack Moik - Director/FX supervisor

Welcome. Its always a pleasure to have a new modeler sign up but to have an Industry FX person join is unreal. The sites still new, not a year old yet though growing fast. Hope to see you post some of your models here. Theres also a CGI section for the animated items. Thanks & welcome!
I just watched the trailor & it looks good mate.

Hi and welcome aboard. It's really nice to have someone from the FX industry join too.. I checked out the trailor and it looks pretty good. I hope as an independant film it makes to the US.. I'll be watching for it, hopefully there will be some english subtitles....

Hello and welcome aboard .Really enjoyed the trailer .Some really interesting ship subjects !!!! Nice to see fresh new designs and ideas !

RE: Cheers from the Nydenion Movie - Jacklionheart - 07-13-2010

Thank you for the kind comments. To be honest, the teaser doesn't even show a glimpse of our work. I hope we can post an expanded trailer with more FX shots soon. We need to finish more than 400 FX shots for this movie and German premiere will be in late august. An english version will be released in the US in a couple of months, so please stay tuned.

Again it's so good to see you guys modelling all the great vessels that have inspired us for all those years. Nydenion is some kind of homage to all those 80s and 90s Sci-Fi blockbusters but we hope to have something unique too.

Best wishes,
Jack Moik

Jack,

Welcome to the site. The clip looks good and has a bit of that retro 80's feel to it (which I like). Wow, 400 shots before August (this year?)? That's going to keep you busy.

If you can share any behind the scenes photos or clips when you're done with the project that would be awesome. Everyone here would love that - Studio Models in Action !!!

You should be able to get a hold of Kurt Kuhn through the MMM site or here or at resinilluminati.com and he can get your stuff on to his site.

Welcome! I hope you like all you see here on our little forum. We all have worked hard on this site to make it what it now is, not just model making, but on each other as well. I hope that soon there will be more offerings from the table, as I know some of us are working on model kits to sell to the public, but on a limited scale. I'm glad that there are members here of the same calibur, as opposed to the higher numbers most modeling forums have, but without the quality of people joining as we do here! Once again, welcome.
