Hi everyone, I am a former armor modeler I achieved what I wanted to in that field. Now I build ship on occasion, (recent move from house keeps me from building now) I want to get into Sci Fi more now, or when I can. Huge ST TOS, NG and movie fan.
What you guys and gals do is amazing, I heard of kit bashing but Wow!

Thank you guys, If I still have my ST Excelsior kit that might be my first build after I move again (soon) just OOB, it's a challenge going from Armor and Ships to Sci Fi, " all that white paint" !!!

Hello, and welcome. Don't feel bad, or intimidated by going from military to sci-fi, I originally started out with armour, and military aircraft. I went to sci-fi almost right after, even though I've built mostly civilian models for myself. I used to build military models for customers, and sci-fi models for movies that most of our members here have seen on the big screen. I'm a former XXXX modeler, but I can't discuss that here, as I'm no longer an industry insider.
I'm just an average Joe on these forums, the same as everyone else and I'm more than happy to help where I can. We're all here to help each other, so jump in where you want to, and feel free to ask all questions without fear of ridicule from not knowing. Show us what you've made no matter what it is, we're all here for each other as well.

Might be a challenge but it's alot more fun.

....and if you stick to the bsg stuff you can avoid all that white paint....
