CYLON RAIDER on Refuel Deck

This was my last Project i started in Sept. and finished in Nov. 2011

The idea of a REFUEL DECK diorama cames
after building the 1/700 CYLON TANKER...
and inspiratet from Seans amazing studio scale CYLON TANKER.




CYLON RAIDER on Refuel Deck

The CYLON TANKER BAY i would like to make nearly as possible to the
studio model - like the parts taken from Hasegawas LEOPOLD and MÖRSER
KARL.

But thinking about the larger scale i added some more details as seen
in the original studio model:

So i addet a super struktur on the refuel deck floor;

Some more support struts on the walls;

I made a beam ceiling with lighting grids between the beams;

I did a detailed Refuel Station:

At last on the roof i placed a Turbo Laser Canon

This is the Monogram Raider, i did some modifications to bring it near the studio model.

Doesn't look like the Monogram Kit at all.
The lighting & paint work is exceptional.

The design of the ceiing and the lighting up there has to be my favorite part. Works perfectly with the rest and a functional part of the display too. Awesome.
