Hello everyone.

Great to be here on this forum. I plan to share progress on my studio scale ANH (5 foot) Millennium Falcon build.

I'll be using kitbash (with vintage donor parts) and scratchbuild techniques as well as 3D CG tools and techniques to flesh out dimensions, form relationships and such. Rapid prototyping might also prove useful - especially on parts that are really hard to find or not available. I'll be molding and casting parts that need to be duplicated as well.

Looking forward to sharing progress, tips and techniques with everyone...

Hi Andre,

Very cool to see someone else interested in the big Falcon. There are not many crazy enough to attempt it!
You've taken a similar approach to the work I've done and I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I've been modeling the Falcon for years now. 3D work is the perfect tool to realize this ship, especially with CNC and the falling cost of growing parts these days.

I've been on this project for about 9 months now - collecting reference images, vintage model kits (rare Bandai 1/24th Armor - ouch!) and laying out the basic shapes and form relationships in my studio.
