My fix of the DeAgostini Falcon cockpit

Not sure if anyone is interested but here is what i have done to make the crappy Deag cockpit a bit more accurate.
 
Here is the old cockpit (left) and the new (right). Both not that great and I'm thinking the original will be easier to modify to get more accurate. Very weird they would go to all the trouble to make a new cockpit less accurate.
 

 
 
In this pick of the front windows I think the old version on the left is more accurate than the new.
 


 
 
In this pick on the new one (left) where im pointing the pen they have curved it I think like the MR but that is not correct. it should be strait like the first one (right).

OK  started on the cockpit. I decided to use the first issued cockpit as I think it will be easier.
 
 

First was glue the half's together then filed out the front windows. Then ground/filed of all the detail from the main windows.





 
 
Then started filing where I think windows should be. Only took a pick of the middle window but did all of them


 



 
 
Then cut some plates from the 2nd edition cockpit that I will not need


 

 
 
Then realised my plan wasn't going to work how I wanted so had to only cut a small piece.


 
 
Then cut out some of the cockpit to fit small piece in so to make this window smaller. Still have to glue this in and bog up the low areas and the lower plate joint as it is in the wrong spot. Needs to be lifted a bit.

Cleaned up with some primer on.



New scribed lines in the correct spot (best I could do). Did both sides

Never Ever will I try something like this again. Major pain putting on the rod and using to much glue.

OK calling this done now I cleaned it up a bit. Will leave it now till I start painting the whole model.
