My Favorite Starship of all time is the Original series Enterprise. My model is the original Release so I had to fill in and sand smooth those terribly out of scale and incorrect grid lines.
It's painted and weathered to match the flinging miniature as close as I can in this scale, using reference material I obtained over the years.
The biggest challenge was to get the Engine lights/effect as close to the effect seen on the original Miniature during the filming of the original season. I basically rebuilt the Polar Lights Lighting kit to achieve the desired result...It was a very long and difficult process till I was happy.
With the Photos, I have attached links of the model, to view the Lighting effect!
