I've never seen those photos of the original model and I really like the look of the blue color that seems to be washed into the recesses along the side trench. I've never seen anyone try to duplicate that paintwork in their model. Any chance you'll be doing that?
Well to be honest I think it's a trick of the cam...
The guy who painted the original told me they primered her first with dark gray then sprayed the whole thing with spray cans of white. I think what is looking blue in the pic is the dark gray color showing through where the white didnt hit the model !
Interesting. It's a very cool effect in any case and even more difficult to duplicate if that's the case.
