Yeah I know what you mean. I may have a way to figure this out using the CAD program I have.
With the scale calculations I made, it turns out that the Fine Molds TIE Fighter and Interceptor, listed as 1:72, are actually scaled at 1:101.52. That is, if the studio model is truly intended to be 1:24.
