Wow, Phil, FANTASTIC JOB! For those who don't know, Phil has done much more than just glue a bunch of parts in there. It turns out, the eye structure I built for him was incorrect on the starboard side. I test built and fitted parts in the port eye. But, for the stb eye, I was given measurements off the original studio model. Due to time constraints, I relied on those. It turns out they were not entirely accurate. The opening was good, but the depth of the floor and height/angle of the back wall proved to be incorrect.
Phil discovered all this through test fitting parts. Then, Richard and I assisted him in figuring out how to fix it. He was brave enough to tear out the existing structure and rebuild it. And, it looks like the results were worth it.
I had warned Phil there would be parts fit issues here and there all over this model because we had to make compromises to fix symmetry, etc. But, this was a good bit beyond that. Congratulations again to Phil for his hard work, patience, and determination. Great job!
