Yeah thats what i've been thinking also but of course i really don't know which is nothinhg new there. Been looking for pictures of cargo/troop carriers but i haven't seen anything that looks right. The thing with this part is that one end has that 90 degree fold in it (the other end is cut off i'm thinking) which from the scans i've see doesn't seem to be the norm for the gates. Scale is another thing, if it's a small 1/72 / 1/76 then the slats would probably be sized about right but 1/35 i'm thinking would be too large. I do think it is one part and it has the same markings ( round dibits?) viewing it from either side. Perhaps 1/48 is something i should also be looking for? Bandai perhaps? Bit stumped on it at present just like many other things though really.
