Yeah...the kit was kind of rough. Especially compared to some of the kits that I've gotten since. But I looked at it as a challenge. I thought I could learn a bit from cleaning it up and I did...I think.
I really became friends with my Bondo filler on this build!
But I really appreciate the compliments and also the advice. I'm a bit too late to do any more sharpening up. It's already got the final coat of paint on it. I'm probably going to start trying to gather kits and/or pieces to scratch one myself.
As for the base...I think I've figured out how to tackle this. I'm thinking either insulating foam or foam used by florists. Either way, I think I'm going to coat it with ultracal 30 to seal it and give it texture.
As soon as I get something going, I'll get some pics up. I just got to find the time to get this going!
