I told you I thought I might have a way to make a miniature spotlight effect using fiber optics. It worked brilliantly. Now I'm going to do a bit of rewiring to put each section of the ship on its own circuit so the brightness can be adjusted independently to balance out the effects.
The tank treads were done on the fly. I had cut a bunch of plastic parts to serve as "vanes" but they disappeared on me right when I needed them. I was trying to figure out what to do when Richard reminded me we had a bunch of useless flexible track lengths left over. The only thing that would stick to them was epoxy and they were a huge PITA to install. But, once they were primed, they stiffened up and behaved nicely.
