SS Battlestar....attempt II

I still think it's taken from Elinchrom pro photography studio flash unit diffusers. I've seen it at several different studio when checking their gear and it's really close. Makes sense that Apogee had some lying around the studio?

Or you can scout around for old overhead projectors, some have a perfect sheet of mesh in the overhead lens assembly. Or do like I did, find a cheap halogen heater and steal it out of that! Better things to spend your Galactica budget on than overpriced Plascore.
