Yup- this was made by AMT waaaay back when to represent one of the original TOS "bad guys"! While no afficionado myself, many folks (websites) refer to the episode 'Balance of Terror' as being when this first appeared. I've also read that AMT had access to the original prop/info and many have speculated why it's not at least a lil more accurate from the box? I wouldn't know but to me it is just as iconic as the TOS Enterprise and while I wrestled with what to do I eventually decided it simply deserved a lil help which is what I'm now undertaking.
Yes, it will have interior lighting, nacelles and a "torpedo" (glow/flash) effect from it's weapon along with the rear thrusters.
