Wow,thats a S load of strands which means the same was required for the drilling.I think i'd get a headache myself trying to run that many fine strand that close together somehow.
But it's looking good,what you have achieved so far dude,it's gonna look pretty damn cool when she's done and you flick the switch having that effect showing.
You know,i have a question about the strands.Do you glue these from the back,then paint the model and just cut the strands off flush when it's all dry?I've heard of people heating up the ends to get a mushroom effect on the strand end,i'd guess that if doing that you have the strands hanging out,paint it,then pull them buck into the model and glue from behind?
Just curious what you are doing there with that one mate?
I gotta learn about all this stuff,nothing too soon it'll be needed for but it's gonna be needed down the track later.
