Well after a couple of years of very little action I've finally dragged myself back to the build and done a little more with it. I wouldn't say I'm back in the swing of things just yet but already I've done more this year than over the last couple albeit it that really wasn't hard to do.
During that down time I did manage to pretty much finish the port neck detailing and even though I haven't got everything spot on it has the look of the G just the same. Theres still two parts missing as I never found em, one is not critical as it sits inside the B-29 turret and the other is the pipe that sits in front of the JPS radiators. Couple of pipes I got a bit crooked to how they should be when gluing em on and some parts may be a little out but I'm looking at things as close enough and just leaving it as they are. Give or take things are around the mark so good enough.
I had also made a small start with the port side body detailing but ended up stripping pretty much all of that off and starting again with things. That's the area I'm currently looking at now and what I'll be working on when I have the motivation for it. What you see in the pic is all glued down aft of the cross arm and everything forward of it is just being held in place with blue tack at present. Next step will be to start bending all the pipes up for that area and then I'll start gluing everything down for good.
Who knows how long this will last but least there is some movement at the station again. :-)
