Hi, fans.
Patrick Hill here, new to the page; Joseph Brown helped me on, and Jason sealed the deal.
I've found myself immersed in the world of nostalgic sci-fi and have asserted my attentions to some of the Filmation hardware between 1976-1979, namely Ark II, Space Academy, and Jason of Star Command. I've completed accurate plans/blueprints of the SEEKER, the STARFIRE, the ARK (with accompanying ROAMER, belts, gauntlets, Jet Jumper, etc), the drone ships and am working on the most ambitious project of them all, the ASTEROID from Space Academy and Jason. It's a roughly four-foot miniature and I currently have pretty accurate ortho views of all sides in 2-d but am always on the lookout for kit parts to ID from some of the limited source material out there. I've embarked on the Garbage Scow from QUARK as well, and am working on interiors and the Gamma Gun.
This forum has already been very useful. I have all parts labeled and one day, someone will want to build their own. I am unaware if the original Asteroid miniature exists. I had heard that Erica Scheimer, daughter of producer Lou Scheimer was in possession, but she's pretty much unreachable.
With the help of some of your eyes, I hope to be able to ID more parts and push this project home. A huge thanks to Joseph Brown, who seems to have a knack for this. I'll lean on him going forward. I'm posting a tight zoom of the forward end of the asteroid as it looks now -- and the PINK overlay which represents ID'd kit parts.
Thanks all, in advance.
PKH
