Well Mike,the part will work just perfectly the way it is mate.The kit part is pretty much sanded down to the rivet line so that one will be fine without needing anything other than a quick sand to straighten up the edges.Thanks mate!!
As for the removable landing gear,yeah we discussed it a little but decided it was gonna need a bit of working to have as a removable item.We decided,that we'll leave that one alone and although it would be cool it just was gonna add more to what's already a pretty full on build.Least full on enough for me it seems.
Doug,theres no magnets,yet.But thats definitley what i'm gonna be using to hold em in place.I just wanted to see how it looked with the covers in place so theres just soom tape holding them there at present bud.Oh theres no feer hanging it off the side of the table,the armature is a bloody good one,nice and strong.A fine job ya did with it!!
