Moveing along to the side walls & theyre going up really smoothly. The Locktite really work fast so gotta make sure the piece is where you want it when you connect it. So all the walls went up pretty easilly & I now have a familiar shape really coming to existance. So exciteing to even just get this far on a scratchbuild. I put the top on for some more test fitting & everythings looking pretty good. Next fase will be to start working on the top section until I figure out the lighting system for this bird. Also have to honey cone the base with some supports for the top base to sit flat on & not sag. I fortunately salvaged some squre alluminnium rod from work that was just perfect. Waste not want yes I say
This will be very sturdy support for a long time. i also have a couple of smaller guage pieces aswell that will reinforce the strength in the opposite direction. Im really happy with the progress.
