The mounting points will all need a strong connection to the frame capable of holding the whole model. There are some good examples of randy cooper star destroyers that have good frames. Different ship but I remember some used square aluminum tubing and may give ideas on connecting the mount point to the internal structure. Check out RI and RPF WIP for these.
