The Hasegawa Leopold came in 3 colors : dark green, dark gray and light gray.
I've never heard of any 1/72 Tamiya Leopold (could have been reboxed by Tamiya though, like they did with Italeri stuff, but I doubt). Anyway all the Leopold used on Star Wars stuff are the Hasegawa version !
No doubt they used a lot of Tamiya stuff on their models (got almost them all
), but for ANH there were not as many Tamiya kits used on their models than we could think. A lot of Revell, Airfix AMT stuff was used ! Some of the Revell kits were released in 1956 (and I had to find 15 of them for my ISD !).
And since you're speaking about the ANH X-Wing, there are also Hasegawa kits on it, the Ticon and the Sherman !
