As for the program, I use Lightwave 3d. I've used this since it came out in the early 90's. To me it's the most intuitive 3d app out there. Much easier than most others I've used. And you can't beat the render quality. The only hard thing about this model, or any SS one, is building all the darn kit part's in 3d, wow. The good thing is, you build it once, and then you can cut and paste those parts onto any model you build. Much cheaper than resin and rubber, LOL. Of course you can't hold it in you hands and stare at it. I'll always prefer the real thing. Just something about a big SS model.
I've got Lightwave as well.. but I haven't used it since a long time ago though..
